Event Description

This presentation is planned as an open and unscripted discussion of the results of a Worldwide OER survey conducted earlier this year, presented at the EuroCALL CMC & teacher Education SIG workshop in Bologna, and at CALICO 2012 in South Bend.  Participants can read the following workshop paper

http://eurocallsigsbologna.weebly.com/uploads/8/7/4/5/8745414/colpaert_bologna_2012_eurocall.pdf

Come in any event (all are welcome!), but if possible come prepared to discuss and ask questions on the following kinds of issues:

  • epistemological (what do we mean by Open? what should be Open?),
  • technological (what do we need to make this work?),
  • psychological (what are the psychological barriers for teachers?)
  • and juridical issues (who is going to profit from my work?)

It is hoped that an accompanying slide show can either be made available online, or uploaded to the

Bb Collaborate / Elluminate presentation venue at:

When: 14:00 GMT, time where you are?
